UNBEWEAVEABLE!

My homie Anu has just launched a website for ALL your hair weave needs! She got a bit sick of middle aged Pakistani men trying to push wack-attack hair weaves on her, sister decided to do it for herself and I salute her! The website has everything you need to keep your hair game on lock and there's plenty more to come.

Check out: www.theweaveboutique.com (bookmark it playerette!) and check out the blog. I just wrote the inaugural entry and it's gong to be updated on the regs with the latest black hair care news, gossip and general 411 from that long-awaited UK perspective (no London-centric).

It's going to be HUGE.

GARMS I COULD AFFORD WHEN I WAS A STUDENT

Student life was official. Here's my latest shoot for Vice. Styled by ME, shot by my favourite ginger, Ben Rayner.

Dora and Rae are absolutely buff. You can't see it in the pics here but Rae was wearing some pure hotness acne ankle wedges. You know I never miss an ankle shoe related angle.

CHUKKKSSSS

Vans hierachy imho. (In order of thick-thigh friendliness)

Chukka > Sk8 Hi > 106 > Authentic/Era > All the rest of them (Old Skools don't rank, yuk ; sk8-mids - not on your nelly Holmes)

For summer I was all about a white chukka and floral playsuit. Now darker times have come (boooo clocks going back, i'm not sure the farmers are all that bothered anyway?) and all my white Vans are all grimed out, these are my favourite Chukkas and sk8-his i've seen, for the winter, dark and that....+ black tights, MAC Ruby Woo and a velvet dress = new dude. honest.

and my #1 favourite!!! - an oldie but a goodie:

As warm as toast.

CANKLE

I don't have them BUT if I did, i'd wear ankle boots all day long. maybe. oh wait, i already do. here's my favourites right about now...

ALEXUS PLATFORM @ TOPSHOP - £85

being over 5'8 and over a size 12, i'll just-say-no to these at the risk of looking like a contestant of RuPaul 'Drag-Race' (5.5 inch heel blud!) but for anyone else, they'll look buff. guaranteed. well not 'guaranteed' but you know, i have a lot of faith in these ones.

Same for these (crepe soles for the win!):

and these:

if i do risk boarding the train to trannyville with any of these it'll be with the 3xl Estevan Oriol 'LA' tee the Jerk bought me (it's bloody huge) and 80 denier tights.

preferably my tassled black Bebaroque ones but the waist has gone (common complaint apparently) so i'll have to go Superman and wear my pants over. nice.

dropped and copped

NOT!

these hotties are £424!!! the Robert Clergerie badboy heeled desert boots are beautiful and the only way for me to wear my favourite desert boots and maintain proportional looking pins (i'm thick of thigh). it still doesn't worth it for me (champagne lifestyle, lemonade wages and all that), as i'll starve for at least 3 months. however, if you've got an errant 4 tons to spend then you can get them at FarFetch.com.

topshop have these 'August' boots for £75 but the dodgy heel and weird styling on the front make these 100% pure butters in my book. bleurgh. a scrunched down ankle sock MAY improve but doubtful.

ALL BLESS

By a process of deduction I think these are the dudes that did the fringe stunners from Beyonces 'Diva' video. Bless is a german label founded in 1997 that produce clothing, accessories and homeware all with a massive focus on directional design. I was never too taken with the garms but I like what they're trying to with the whole art/fashion flex so...

A knock-off coming to those shops with no doors on the wrong side of Oxford St that blast Akon like there's no tomorrow any day now.

IS IT MY GO, IS IT YOUR GO?

I'm screwing a little bit. I've lost my super long black beanie that sticks up straight and makes me look as much like Aaliyah as i'm ever going to get. It's good as it helps to de-slag a look if here's a lot of tightness going on, i'm wearing heels AND my tights have holes (often).

Was assisting Francesca Burns on a shoot on Friday with the lovely Beth Ditto for the Gossip's new album and that's what made me remember I missed my Back&Forth video inspired hat. I was wearing my favourite Aaliyah tee and Fran, Beth, the rest of The Gossip, the photographer and the make-up dude all went nuts for it! On seperate, individual occasions. It's crazy how many different people love her. If I ever drop a line, I'll definitely have some sort of Aaliyah face print up in there - it's what the people want! She was so, so, so, so great. Miss Ditto was the best thing ever too even though she did discuss menstruation a lot.

Here's Beth singing Aaliyah:

Here's the tee:

Here's the link to the LOVE magazine blog where I swiped the pic Fran took of Beth of her Blackberry. It's nice.

WANG

The 2nd most ballingest shop in the world, Opening Ceremony is now transactional...and they'll ship to B30! Fans of Peter Pilotto, Meadham Kirchoff, Band of Outsiders, Porter, Black Black or OCs own label should browse on over as it looks superbuff too.

Unfortunately Alexander Wang won't be visiting Cotteridge anytime soon as all his pieces I'm down for (the entire collection you understand) are slightly creditmunch unfriendly. There's a diffusion range, T by Alexander Wang but tbh its simply not as good.

However if my steady grind leads me to a spare $950.00 i'd drop it on this.

Team with Bless' metal fringe stunners and i'm flossy. If my Mum asks me anything I'll say I picked them up from Mark One or possibly Quiz.

BREAST MILK-SHAKE

Horrendous title I know, I know but I didn't even know hotgirl was pregnant!

I use the term hotgirl loosely. I love Kelis but the cutting and dying of hair from black to pink turned out to be a slippery slope with dodgy 80s make-up coming along for the ride. It seems increasing levels of married bliss to Nas are inversely proportional to her buffness.

I'm just being mean. She's the baddest and i'm sure the baby will be a looker.
